“She has found her place in the world, unafraid of her shadows, the stories that kept her invisible. She has reclaimed her voice, unbound her power, she no longer seeks approval. She respects her need to be nourished, to rejuvenate. She is water, she is Winter. She has the power to create, the power to nurture and restore. She sees wholeness, the potential of what is possible. Her energy flows, she has left behind striving and endurance. She is changed …she is conscious…she is present …she trusts her intuition…she is connected to nature’s seasons, cycles and wild edges …restored and rebalanced she has found herself”
“I have everything I need within me- I have the power to create- I have a voice- I am visible and I shine”
Restoring and Re-balancing (R&R), is not the end; it is the beginning and the end, it is a moment’s pause to celebrate, to reflect, to let go, to acknowledge there is more learning, more adventures. Our journey of becoming visible is like a labyrinth, more learning, more letting go. There are no dead ends, no wrong paths, always finding our place back at the centre. The centre uncovering wisdom and knowledge, our gifts that we then take back out into our lives and the world. R & R is about bringing ourselves into balance, integrating and harmonising the masculine and feminine, making your journey back to authenticity, conscious femininity , changed with new insights, your strengths uncovered , your power and voice reclaimed.
WOMEN WHO INSPIRE ME
Read Roxy’s story below on finding her voice…
I was at a young age when I first started seeing violence. To me at that age I just thought it was normal, but watching my mum change from the happy smiling person she was to a broken lady and turning to drinking all the time was heart breaking. I ended up moving out of the house when I was 14 I moved around from place to place. When I turned 17 I started drinking and taking drugs and ended up in a violent relationship I started losing a little bit of myself every day I lost a connection I had with family and friends. When I turned 19 I fell pregnant and knew I had to change my life to better my baby. I left the relationship I was in and got my own house and started making a home and getting my connection back with family. When I was 20 I took on my younger brother who was 10 at the time as she couldn’t take care of him anymore. I got to the point where I was taking care of everyone else and not taking time for myself. When I was 28 I had 2 children of my own and my brother who was 17. I felt it was time I started getting my confidence back, finding my voice and who I am. That’s where I found Inspire Women. I knew the first step was walking through them doors and when I did I found where I belonged. It feels like one big family and knowing that I wasn’t the only one going through struggles and always having someone to talk to made a difference. I began Finding Me and it was life changing, I finally found the person I wanted to be.
I have my Inspire family who have helped me so much. I am now an Associate at the Centre helping to enable women to see that a different life is possible. I am passionate about making a difference for women experiencing Domestic Violence. We live in a world where people with power make decisions for us; those decisions sadly don’t include the very women they are supposed to help. I am a Champion, a Changemaker, becoming visible to try and change something I am passionate about. So I’ve finally found my voice and where I belong, my visible journey has begun.
